There are two types of eye liners available- eye pencil and liquid eye liner. In beginning stage, use eye pencil. After practicing liquid eye liner can be used.
Step 1 : Hold your lining device. Make your elbow steady at a flat surface and draw a thin line as close as you can to the base of your eye lids. Start from the inner corner of your eye and move to the outer corner.
Step 2 : After finishing the lining, lightly smudge the line you just drew i.e. mix the line a little so it doesn’t look a distinct line. It will remove the harshness of the line.
Step 3 : Repeat the process for the bottom of your eyes.
The following tips should be followed:
Tip 1: The lining of rim of the eye should be avoided.
Tip 2: For wide set eyes, the stress should be on the inner corners of the eye, for close set eyes stress should be on outer corners keeping the inner corners highlighted.
Tip 3: For liquid liner, test on the back of the hand the pressure you can apply. While lining if you stop at the corner of the eyes, the effect will be round and wide-eyed.
Tip 4: The larger the eyelid area, the thicker and softer the eyeliner should be. The smaller the eyelid area, the thinner and more intense the eyeliner should be.
